Find the right doctor

How to choose a longevity-minded clinician who fits your goals and approach.

What to look for

A good longevity doctor thinks in terms of your whole picture—not just one biomarker or trend. Look for someone who asks about your goals, explains options clearly, and is willing to tailor a plan rather than apply a one-size-fits-all protocol.

Questions that help

Before your first visit, consider what matters most to you: prevention, performance, hormones, recovery, or something else.

You don’t need a perfect script, but going in with a few questions makes the conversation much more useful. Use the example questions below as a prompt to capture what you want from the relationship.

Here are a few ways you might actually ask these in real life:

  • “If we work together for the next year, what would a great outcome look like to you?”
  • “How do you usually start with a new patient like me?” (What happens in the first 3–6 months?)
  • “When do you lean on medications or hormones, and when do you prefer lifestyle and supplements?”
  • “How often will we check in, and how will we know if the plan is working?”
  • “What should I realistically budget for working with you over a year?” (Visits, labs, memberships, prescriptions, supplements.)

Next step

We’ve started a directory of vetted longevity clinicians. Use it to browse by specialty, location, and whether they’re accepting new patients—then book a conversation and see if it’s a fit.
